At Aranmore, students are supported in a variety of ways. Each students is unique, so to ensure they reach their potential, we have a dedicated, experienced Career Advisor who works closely with students and their parents to assist students with successful transition from school to university, State Training Providers (TAFE), apprenticeships, traineeships and the workplace. Individual counselling is available to assist them Career development is not about expecting students to make lifelong career decisions at a young age. It is about providing them with a context for their school learning and the skills, knowledge and attitudes to make these decisions in the future.

The Career Advisor provides vocational and educational guidance through individual counselling, Year Group information sessions and Career Education classes across Years 10-12.  Provide access to up-to-date and accurate information about:

• Post-school education and training options

• University, State Training Provider and Private Training Provider courses

• Apprenticeships and Traineeships information

• Onsite (Workplace Learning)

• Career pathways

• Course selection 

• Resume and job application letter/support

• Portfolios

• Study Skills and Study Planner

Parents and students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Career Advisor to discuss individual pathways plans.
