OLNA - Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (Years 10-12)

The OLNA is designed to enable students to successfully meet the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) requirement of demonstrating the minimum standard of literacy and numeracy. Students who have achieved Band 8 or higher in any of the three components of reading, writing and numeracy in their Year 9 NAPLAN are acknowledged as having demonstrated proficiency. Students who have demonstrated the required level of competency in the OLNA do not need to sit for that component again.

Students have an opportunity every March and September to sit the OLNA starting in Year 10.

OLNA - Round One Week 7 Term One.
Writing: Tuesday 7 March to Friday 10 March
Numeracy & Reading: Tuesday 7 March to Friday 24 March.

The College's specific timetable will be published in the SEQTA notices.

If you’re unsure if your child needs to sit the OLNA please do not hesitate to contact me.

To find out more about the OLNA, read the attached information flyer here.

Elevate Education

On Monday 27 February Period 1, all Year 11 students will take part in the first of two Elevate education study seminars.

Elevate study skills seminars are designed to achieve change amongst students to maximise their study/revision plans. The challenge in any study skills program is getting students to use and apply the skills they learn. We hope all the Year 11 students take away a range of strategies & skills which will improve upon their current study/revision regime.
