On Wednesday 3 March students from the Year 9 Level 3 HaSS class attended an excursion to the Francis Burt Law Education Programme. Students experienced the thrills, drama, and severity of the courtroom, as we went inside the District Court to view a live court case. They then undertook the roles of the courtroom themselves as they participated in a mock trial. This enabled students to witness the content studied in class firsthand, leading to a deeper understanding of Australia’s court system.
