Scholarship Opportunities at Aranmore
Aranmore Catholic College awards full and partial scholarships to secondary students in Academics, Sports (Netball and Rugby) and Music. Scholarships are also awarded to students who demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a high aptitude and interest in Science and Mathematics.
In awarding scholarships, Aranmore Catholic College commits itself to assist our scholarship students in attaining standards of excellence in their academic, sporting or artistic endeavours.
Please note that applications must be submitted with the relevant forms completed and requested items attached by 4pm on the closing date for applications to be considered. Applications without requested items and/or submitted after closing date will not be eligible for consideration.
Expectations of Aranmore Scholarship Students
The College expects scholarship students to pursue excellence not only in the area where the scholarship has been awarded, but to develop all their other abilities and talents in keeping with the tradition of Catholic education. In particular, we expect scholarship students to:
- show leadership within the College community at all times
- achieve academically to the best of their ability
- model appropriate manners and courtesy to staff and students
- participate in all College activities related to their scholarship
- demonstrate appropriate sportsmanship at all times
- act as ambassadors for Aranmore when visiting other schools or meeting with visitors to the College
- be role models for their peers
Scholarships can be withdrawn at the College’s discretion following any breach / breaches of the College Code of Conduct.
Academic Excellence Scholarships
2028 APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
To foster and enhance the academic culture of the College, the College Advisory Council is offering the equivalent of five Academic Excellence Scholarships to students who are academically achieving within the top 10% nationwide for each year level from Year 7-10.
Year 6 students, as well as current and incoming Year 7-10 students, may apply and the scholarship is tenable up to and including Year 10. The type of scholarship (partial, offering 50% of College tuition fees, or full, offering 100% remission of College tuition fees) may be modified at the discretion of the College.
Earning the scholarship depends on, but is not limited to, AGAT, PAT Math and PAT Reading test scores, school reports, as well as a positive attitude and a willingness to engage and learn. The scholarship is reviewed biannually and is subject to the below criteria.
- Attends and participates in school events (eg, sporting, retreat and activity days, Mass and Founders’ Day).
- Is engaged with the College community through stewardship and leadership.
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour and a high standard of uniform and grooming.
- Exhibits proficient self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and social management.
- Upholds a high attendance rate.
- Maintains a minimum of a B grade for each subject.
Scholarship recipients are automatically enrolled in the Academic Extension Program (AEP). Although the scholarship concludes at the end of Year 10, students will continue in the AEP through Years 11 and 12.

Specialist Music Program Scholarships
2027 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
Students entering into Year 7-12 at the College can apply for a Music Scholarship to develop and extend their instrumental or vocal skills in class and on the stage. Recipients will receive discounted music tutorial fees during their 12-month scholarship program. They are also welcome to reapply for participation in the program annually.
Applications for 2027 Music Scholarships are due by Monday 21st September 2026.
Applicants will be notified of the Term 4 audition date after applications close.

Catherine McAuley Scholarship for IEC & Year 7 - 10 students
2028 APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Catherine McAuley Scholarships are awarded to incoming students from the Intensive English Centre (IEC) and Year 7 to 10 who show an aptitude to become a leader, an ambition to succeed and a willingness to actively contribute to College life through our academic, pastoral, spiritual and creative arts programs.
Scholarships are open to a student attending Aranmore Catholic College or any secondary school who:
- is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia within the meaning of the Australian Citizenship Act 2007, and
- lives in any State or Territory of Australia
The scholarships are full scholarships and offer a remission of 100% of all College fees. Each recipient’s scholarship will be reviewed annually and is tenable for up to six years.

Brother Kelly STEM Scholarship for students entering Year 11

Brother Kelly Scholarships are awarded to students entering Year 11 who show aptitude in Mathematics and/or Science.
Scholarships are open to a current Year 10 student attending Aranmore Catholic College or any secondary school who:
- is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia within the meaning of the Australian Citizenship Act 2007, and
- lives in any State or Territory of Australia
The scholarships offer remission of up to 100% off all College fees. Incoming recipient’s scholarships will be reviewed annually and are tenable for up to two years.

Sports Scholarships
2028 APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Aranmore Catholic College offers Sports Scholarships specialising in Netball or Rugby. Applications are open to Year 7-9 students who show skill and/or potential in their chosen sport, limited playing experience does not exclude potential netball or rugby players from applying for a scholarship.
*Students can be included in the Netball or Rugby Specialist Programs without a scholarship
In awarding Sports Scholarships to students, Aranmore Catholic College is committed to supporting recipients to gain standards of excellence in their academic work as well. The kind of assistance available includes support to;
- prepare study or time management plans
- assess progress in their more challenging subjects

Moorditj Bidi Program
The College offers the Moorditj Bidi Program as part of our commitment to further educational outcomes and career opportunities for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Moorditj Bidi Program assists with the cost of the annual tuition fees for the duration of a student’s schooling at Aranmore Catholic College. Students on scholarships are reviewed based on their attendance, behaviour, and engagement with the program periodically with the Program Coordinator, relevant Dean of Students, and the Principal. All students in the program are encouraged to apply for ABSTUDY.
