About the College
Aranmore Catholic College (CRICOS code 00745C) is one of the most culturally diverse schools in WA with a reputation for excellence in education. Aranmore is an inner-city, co-educational Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Catholic day school, with a population of around 950 students. International students travel from many different countries to study at Aranmore, where they can choose from short-term or long-term study options. We currently have students from Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Brazil and Japan.
Aranmore Catholic College is a member of Study Perth, providing quality educational programs for international students. How to Apply
An Enrolment Information Form should be completed by students and their families.
Please send this enrolment form directly to the College along with the following supporting documentation:
- Copy of student passport
- Student’s two most recent school report (translation required)
- Copy of AEAS English test results
- Living arrangements for the student. If it is with an approved Guardian, evidence of relationship is required.
- Any additional documents that will support the student’s application (teacher recommendation)
- Recent photo of the student
You will receive an email from the College once your application has been submitted.
The information below refers to the year level your child should be in in Australia. The College will review the application to place your child in the year most suitable depending on education completed in the home country, age and English levels.

Starting in Year 11 at the College
It is recommended that students submit their application to join the College prior to Year 11.
The College does accept Year 11 starts, only at the start of Term 1 each year so that students are able to complete the full Year 11 and 12 academic year as required to obtain their high school certificate. Students who start directly into Year 11 need to meet the English requirements for Year 11, and are advised to send through applications as soon as possible.
English Requirements
The College does not accept IELTS for their English testing.
All students will need to complete an English Language Test, which is administered through AEAS testing. The test must be completed prior to the submission of an application and is completed in person in country.
English testing results will be assessed along with school reports during the enrolment process. The following results is to give an indication of English level requirements to successfully enter into each year level.

Living Arrangements
Our International students stay with immediate family or with a Homestay family whilst studying in Perth. Families will need to register with Australia Homestay Network AHN – Australian Homestay Network – Hosting Australia. The College requires a confirmation of this registration before a CAAW can be issued.
The student will need to follow the rules of the Homestay and AHN. General rules to be expected include a curfew of 10pm and requesting permission from the College regarding any sleepovers.
Fees & Charges
Fees are charged on a semester basis. The fees for 2025 are as follows:
Secondary Year 7 – 10: $23,840 per annum
Secondary Year 11 – 12: $24,460 per annum
An amenities fee of $2,000 is charged per annum to cover costs associated with uniform, books, camps, co-curricular and pastoral programs such as retreats. A 5% sibling discount is offered on the tuition fees of the second child.
International Students Health Cover
All students on a Student 500 Visa will require Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to be arranged before the commencement at the College. This needs to be arranged independently or with the help of an agent. More information about OSHC can be found on the Study Australia website.
Support for International Students
The College has welcomed international students for over a decade. The International Student Coordinator at the College supports students by
- Manages the application process so there is a single point of contact for agents and parents
- EAL/D classes are offered to all international students
- 1 day Orientation process for new students so that students feel welcomed to a new school and life in Perth. New students are introduced to current international students so they can make new connections
- Assistance with student uniform, stationery, book purchases and subject selection
- Overall wellbeing support through regular check ins and a dedicated International Student Office where students can ”walk-in”
- Phone number of International Student Coordinator to text or call in case of questions and emergencies
- Homework help on Monday and Tuesday with teachers in the library
- Study Perth high school events throughout the year to meet other international students from different schools
Arriving in Perth and Study Perth
The College is a school member of Study Perth, a government organisation that supports International students studying in Perth. The Study Perth Study Hub is located at 555 Wellington Street, Perth. Other services provided by Study Perth include
- Welling support (free welling service and legal advise)
- Career support (free personalised advice from career advisors)
- Events (events for high school students throughout the year, cultural dinners, clothes swap)
When students initially arrive at Perth Airport, students are required to use the airport transport service arranged by AHN. If this is not needed the College needs to approve alternative arrangements.

Enrolment Process
- Submit all enrolment documentation and send to the College at acc@aranmore.wa.edu.au
- If the application is successful, a Letter of Offer and Written Agreement provided.
- The family accepts the Written Agreement and a 1 Semester deposit is paid
- A Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) and Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW) is provided if the student is under 18 once an approved homestay is organised
- An interview with the International Student Coordinator and/or Principal is arranged if required
- Orientation at the College prior to starting at the College
General & ATAR Pathways
In Year 11 and 12, the final two years of secondary school, students choose a General or ATAR pathway.
To complete Year 12 and secondary school, students must complete two years of schooling. Therefore, students must arrive and start from Term 1 in Year 11. Students entering Year 11 can not start in any other terms subsequent to the start of the year.
