The aim of the English Learning Area is to provide a supportive yet challenging environment in which students of all abilities and interests can express themselves clearly and rationally.

The English Learning Area is organised to enable all students to reach their potential as both critical and creative readers and writers, thereby giving them the skills and strategies to engage with the wider world of further study and the workforce. Students are provided with ample opportunities to learn and practise the essential functional and critical literacy skills needed to cope with the challenges of the modern world, as well as meet the standards required of both the ATAR and General Level English and Literature courses in Years 11 and 12.
