Payment of School Fees An annual account will be issues early in first term for the whole year. This account is payable in 3 instalments on 15 March, 15 June and 15 September. You may spread your payments by completing a Direct Debit form, which can be obtained from the College. Payment can be made in cash, cheque, Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa or Direct Debit. Credit Card payments may be made over the telephone. Health Care Card Tuition Fee Discount Scheme From 2005, parents/guardians who are responsible for the payment of school fees and hold a current means tested family Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the code "PPS", will be entitled to a discount on tuition fees. The discounted tuition fee per student for
2007 will be: For eligible secondary students, the Secondary Assistance Scheme of $235 per student provided by the State Government is included as part of this discount, i.e. it has been treated as a contribution towards the tuition fee. The discounted tuition fee does not cover additional charges such as camps, subject levies and book hire fees. For holders of other types of Pensioner Concession Cards, the Secondary Assistance Scheme of $235 still applies. Other families requiring assistance in paying school fees are encouraged to make an appointment to discuss their situation with the Principal. To access the Health Care Card Tuition Fee Discount Scheme parents/guardians will need to show a valid Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card (code PPS) or a New Start Card, and complete a simple form prior to the end of Term 1 in 2005. Holders of cards that are due to expire prior to the end of Term 3 will need to show their new card once issued for the discounts to continue. More information on the Health Care Card Tuition Fee Discount Scheme is available on the Catholic Education Office website www.ceo.wa.edu.au under "Health Care Card". Notice of Withdrawal One term's notice in writing must be given prior to removal of a pupil, otherwise the College reserves the right to charge a term's fee in lieu of notice. Fee Assistance To obtain assistance, a comprehensive form must be completed. The form can be obtained from the College Reception. Fee assistance must be re-applied for each year. Book Hire In an effort to keep costs down for parents, some departments charge a book hire fee. Further details are supplied with your booklist. Payment will be requested by the relevant teacher early in the school year. Clothing and Educational Allowance If you hold a current Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card, Centrelink Family Health Care Card or a Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession Card you may be eligible for assistance through the Secondary Assistance Scheme. Students who turn 17 in 2004 are ineligible. To apply for the allowance, please contact the College for an appointment. Applications cannot be made after 31 March. Youth Allowance Youth Allowance is available for students aged 16 and over, subject to income testing. Further information can be obtained by contacting Centrelink on 13 24 90. Canteen The College Parents and Friends Association runs the Canteen. The purpose of the Canteen is to provide an inexpensive source of nutritious food. This cannot be achieved without the help of parents. If you can give some assistance to the Canteen please call the Canteen on 9242 3321. All funds raised by the Canteen are returned to the College to benefit all students. |
