On
a day-to-day basis the Society and Environment Department faces the
challenge of providing students with a better understanding of the world,
our society and the issues facing young people, both today and in the
future. This difficult task requires Aranmore's teachers to bring Society
and Environment alive, and to make the subject interesting and relevant.
As learning does not occur only within the classroom, Aranmore's Society and Environment students often have the opportunity to go 'on site' for fieldtrips and surveys, gaining valuable practical skills.
