International Students

The Rugby Program

Since 1993 Rugby has been included as a specialised subject at the College. Rugby is currently offered as a subject which can be studied in Years Nine, Ten, Eleven and Twelve. At Year Eight level, students participate in a specialised class which coincides with Physical Education classes. The College competes in Rugby Union competitions and provides specialist training in this code. All scholarship students are expected to play for the college in weekend competition. Rugby is offered as a semester option in Year Nine and Ten and forms one of our Physical Education Studies courses in upper school. The courses are approved by the Curriculum Council and are graded in accordance with Curriculum Council requirements.

Talent Identification
Aranmore has a strong commitment to presenting rugby students to be included in any appropriate Talent Development offered by WA Rugby Union. We ensure players are presented for State Level team selection, which is an important part of the talent identification process, and compete at national and international competitions.
