International Students

Religious Education
Catholic schools attempt to produce a community that is permeated by the Gospel spirit of freedom and love.

An individual’s Faith is a personal experience.  Religious education at Aranmore attempts to explain the Catholic view of the Christian way of life.  This can help the students on their own Faith Journey.  All students will undertake Religious Educations lessons in all years of their Secondary school life. The religious education program has been prepared using the Guidelines for Religious Education of the Perth Archdiocese.   More information on these guidelines can be found by contacting the Catholic Education Office through their web site.

Liturgical Celebrations
The liturgical celebrations of Eucharist and Reconciliation are an important part of school life at Aranmore. Each term, all classes have the opportunity to experience, or at least be exposed to, these sacraments.

Paraliturgies
Paraliturgies are a series of prayers, bible readings and songs.  They are part of all important school gatherings. Students are encouraged to involve themselves in these paraliturgies.

Class Prayer
Form teachers begin the school day with a prayer during form period.  Religious Education teachers are also encouraged to pray regularly with their class.

Retreats
As an integral part of the Religious Education program, retreats are conducted for all students. A retreat is the opportunity for students to reflect upon their faith and its relationship to their daily lives.  This can, in turn, help to deepen their faith.
