International Students

Students at Aranmore have the opportunity to study a variety of subjects in the Business and Information Technology area of learning.

In Middle School we offer Year Eight Computing, and Year Nine Computer Applications.

In Year Eight we combine Information Technology with learning research skills in the Library. This gives them the grounding for future studies and lifelong research abilities. In Year Nine students are learning the basic skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and FrontPage.

In Senior School, subjects include Year Ten Computer Applications, Year Eleven Business Information Technology, Year Eleven Accounting, Year Eleven Digital Media, Year Twelve Business Information Technology, Year Twelve Accounting and Year Twelve Interactive Media.

Our Middle School and Senior School aims are:

to ensure our teaching and assessment practices exactly match those stipulated by the Curriculum Council of Western Australia
to match the skills of our students to industry and tertiary entry requirements including TAFE studies
to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to experience the real world in business and commerce and remain flexible in their future career choices
to encourage the development of self motivated learning and problem solving
to provide real and rich experiences on a variety of computer software and hardware
to work towards ensuring our students’ computer literacy skills match accepted industry standards
to ensure our students recognise when and where, as well as how, to use a computer
to open up the realms of possibilities by fostering an environment where enterprise and enquiry is actively encouraged
